Midlife Health Concerns

Meaning

A constellation of physiological, psychological, and metabolic challenges that commonly manifest during the transition years, typically spanning ages 40 to 60, often driven by the progressive decline and fluctuation of key endocrine hormones. These concerns include, but are not limited to, changes in body composition, shifts in mood and cognitive function, reduced libido, and increased risk for cardiometabolic disease. Recognizing these interconnected symptoms as a clinical syndrome, rather than isolated issues, allows for a comprehensive and targeted therapeutic approach.
