Metabolic Syndrome Markers

Meaning

Metabolic Syndrome Markers are five clinical criteria that significantly increase an individual’s risk for developing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic health issues. These include elevated waist circumference, high blood pressure, elevated fasting glucose, high triglycerides, and low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. Identifying these collectively indicates metabolic dysregulation within the body.
