Metabolic Resistance Mitigation

Meaning

Metabolic Resistance Mitigation is the clinical and therapeutic process of reducing or reversing the body’s diminished responsiveness to key metabolic signals, most notably insulin, but also leptin and thyroid hormones. This resistance state, characterized by the failure of target cells to adequately respond to a normal concentration of the hormone, leads to persistent hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, and difficulty regulating energy balance. Mitigation strategies aim to restore cellular sensitivity and re-establish proper homeostatic control.
