Metabolic Co-Factors

Meaning

Metabolic Co-Factors are the small, non-protein chemical compounds, often vitamins or minerals, required by enzymes to facilitate the necessary chemical transformations in energy production, hormone synthesis, and detoxification pathways. They are indispensable partners in enzymatic reactions that drive all aspects of endocrine function and cellular throughput. Without adequate co-factors, even optimal substrate or hormone levels cannot achieve desired physiological outcomes, leading to functional stagnation. We assess these factors to ensure the biochemical machinery has the necessary operational tools.
