Male Reproductive Impairment

Meaning

Any clinical condition or physiological state that compromises the male reproductive capacity, manifesting as issues with sperm production, sperm function, or the hormonal regulation necessary for fertility. This impairment is often characterized by oligozoospermia, azoospermia, or hypogonadism, which collectively diminish the likelihood of natural conception. Comprehensive evaluation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular (HPT) axis is required for diagnosis.
