Male Andropause Clinical Strategy

Meaning

A specialized clinical protocol for the diagnosis and management of age-related decline in male gonadal function, clinically termed late-onset hypogonadism or, colloquially, “andropause.” The strategy involves a thorough diagnostic workup to confirm clinically significant testosterone deficiency and rule out secondary causes, followed by a personalized therapeutic regimen, most commonly Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). The clinical goal is to restore physiological androgen levels to alleviate debilitating symptoms, including chronic fatigue, sexual dysfunction, and mood disturbances, while proactively managing associated health risks like erythrocytosis and estrogen elevation.
