Long-Term TRT

Meaning

Long-Term TRT, or Testosterone Replacement Therapy, refers to the ongoing medical administration of exogenous testosterone to individuals diagnosed with clinical hypogonadism, a condition characterized by insufficient testosterone production by the testes. This therapeutic approach aims to restore circulating testosterone levels to a physiological range, thereby mitigating symptoms and addressing health concerns associated with androgen deficiency over an extended period, often for the duration of a patient’s life.
