Lifestyle-Induced Stress

Meaning

Lifestyle-induced stress describes the cumulative physiological and psychological burden placed on the body by chronic, non-acute stressors stemming from daily habits, environmental factors, and modern societal demands. This type of stress, distinct from an immediate threat, is a major clinical driver of chronic HPA axis dysregulation and subsequent hormonal imbalance. Examples include chronic sleep deprivation, poor dietary habits, excessive workload, and continuous exposure to artificial light and noise pollution. Clinically addressing this pervasive stress is often the most critical step in restoring equilibrium to the endocrine system.
