Lifestyle-Induced Inflammation

Meaning

Lifestyle-induced inflammation is a state of chronic, low-grade systemic inflammation resulting from persistent maladaptive behaviors such as poor diet, sedentary behavior, chronic psychological stress, and inadequate sleep. This persistent immune activation is characterized by elevated circulating pro-inflammatory cytokines like Interleukin-6 and C-Reactive Protein. This subclinical inflammatory state is a central driver of metabolic dysfunction, hormonal resistance, and the pathogenesis of numerous age-related chronic diseases.
