LH Mimicry

Meaning

LH Mimicry refers to the pharmacological action of a substance that binds to and activates the luteinizing hormone (LH) receptor, thereby replicating the physiological effects typically mediated by endogenous LH. This action can stimulate gonadal steroidogenesis, leading to the production of sex hormones like testosterone or progesterone, and can also induce ovulation in females.
