Late Onset Hypogonadism Diagnosis

Meaning

Late Onset Hypogonadism Diagnosis, often referred to clinically as LOH, is the formal identification of a progressive decline in testicular function and testosterone production in aging men, accompanied by characteristic clinical symptoms. The diagnosis requires both biochemical confirmation of low serum testosterone levels and the presence of associated symptoms, which may include reduced libido, fatigue, decreased muscle mass, and mood disturbances. It is a distinct clinical entity from classical primary or secondary hypogonadism.
