Kidney Jing Deficiency

Meaning

A core diagnostic pattern in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that describes a depletion of the fundamental, inherited life-essence, known as Jing, which is stored in the Kidneys. This deficiency is not a Western medical diagnosis of kidney organ failure but rather a pattern associated with premature aging, chronic exhaustion, reduced fertility, and a decline in overall vitality. It is often correlated with Western concepts of HPA axis dysfunction and hormonal aging.
