KEEPS Study

Meaning

The KEEPS Study, or Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study, was a pivotal randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial designed to investigate the effects of early postmenopausal hormone therapy on cardiovascular markers and cognitive function. This study specifically enrolled recently menopausal women, examining the impact of oral conjugated equine estrogens, transdermal estradiol, or placebo, with or without micronized progesterone, over a four-year period.
