Ipamorelin Sensitivity

Meaning

Ipamorelin Sensitivity describes the degree of responsiveness exhibited by the pituitary gland’s somatotroph cells to the synthetic peptide Ipamorelin, a selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor. This sensitivity determines the magnitude of the resulting, natural, pulsatile release of Growth Hormone. High sensitivity indicates that a lower dose of the peptide is required to achieve a clinically desired elevation in Growth Hormone and subsequent IGF-1 levels.
