Invisible Conditions

Meaning

Invisible Conditions refer to health disorders that significantly impact an individual’s physiological function and daily life but lack obvious external physical signs or markers readily observable by others. These conditions often manifest through a constellation of subjective symptoms, such as persistent fatigue, chronic pain, cognitive dysfunction, or mood disturbances, which can be challenging to attribute without comprehensive clinical assessment. Examples include fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and various forms of hormonal dysregulation.
