Intervention Thresholds

Meaning

Precisely defined clinical and biochemical values or ranges that, when crossed, necessitate a specific therapeutic action or change in a patient’s treatment protocol. These thresholds are not merely reference range limits but are individualized, functional cut-offs determined by a patient’s age, symptoms, overall metabolic status, and health goals. Establishing these limits allows for proactive, evidence-based decision-making in hormonal health, ensuring interventions are timely and tailored. Crossing a threshold indicates that the physiological “drift” has reached a point where passive monitoring is no longer sufficient.
