Interoperability in health refers to the ability of diverse information systems, devices, and applications to access, exchange, and cooperatively use data in a coordinated manner, within and across organizational boundaries, to provide timely and seamless portability of information and optimize the health of individuals and populations. This ensures that patient health data is consistently available where and when it is needed for clinical decision-making.
