International Wellness Law

Meaning

International Wellness Law refers to the emerging and often fragmented legal and regulatory landscape governing the global trade, provision, and marketing of health-optimization services, supplements, and non-traditional medical treatments that fall outside of conventional disease-treatment paradigms. This domain addresses jurisdictional issues regarding telemedicine, cross-border prescription fulfillment, the safety of wellness products, and the protection of consumer data in a globalized wellness economy. The lack of a single harmonizing treaty makes this area complex and jurisdiction-dependent.
