Internal Desynchronization

Meaning

Internal desynchronization refers to a state where the body’s various internal biological rhythms, particularly the master circadian rhythm, become misaligned with each other. This disruption means that physiological processes such as hormone secretion, core body temperature regulation, and metabolic activity are no longer coordinated in their usual temporal patterns. It represents a loss of synchronized operation among the body’s intrinsic biological clocks.
