Inflammatory Responses

Meaning

Inflammatory responses are the body’s innate, protective reactions to tissue injury, acute infection, or chronic irritation, characterized by the rapid activation of immune cells and the subsequent release of specific chemical mediators. While acute, transient inflammation is a necessary and beneficial part of the healing process, chronic, low-grade systemic inflammation is pathological and a major, measurable driver of age-related disease and profound hormonal dysfunction. Managing and resolving inflammatory responses is a core, non-negotiable strategy in preventative and longevity medicine.
