Immune System Restoration

Meaning

Immune System Restoration is the clinical strategy focused on reversing age-related immune dysfunction, known as immunosenescence, and optimizing the body’s capacity for surveillance, defense, and self-tolerance. This involves rebalancing the ratio of naive to memory T-cells, reducing chronic low-grade inflammation (inflammaging), and supporting the integrity of the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). The goal is to enhance the immune system’s ability to effectively combat pathogens and aberrant cells while minimizing autoimmune reactivity.
