IgG Glycome

Meaning

The IgG glycome represents the complete collection of N-linked oligosaccharide structures attached to immunoglobulin G antibodies within an individual. These diverse sugar chains, or glycans, are post-translational modifications predominantly found on the Fc region, influencing antibody conformation and biological activity. This glycosylation pattern is dynamic, varying between individuals and over time due to physiological changes.
