Idiopathic Oligospermia

Meaning

Idiopathic Oligospermia is a clinical diagnosis defined by a low sperm concentration in the semen, below the established reference range, for which no underlying medical cause can be identified despite comprehensive clinical and laboratory investigation. This condition represents a significant challenge in male reproductive endocrinology and is often a diagnosis of exclusion. It is a major contributing factor to male factor infertility.
