Hypospadias

Meaning

Hypospadias is a congenital condition where the urethral opening, or meatus, is abnormally located on the underside of the penis, not at its tip. This developmental anomaly means the urinary opening can be anywhere along the ventral penile shaft, scrotum, or perineum. Severity varies with meatal location, often accompanied by penile curvature and an incomplete foreskin.
