HPG Axis Axis Recalibration

Meaning

The deliberate clinical process aimed at restoring appropriate feedback signaling and functional output within the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis following periods of suppression or dysregulation. This recalibration seeks to re-establish the natural rhythm of GnRH, LH, and FSH secretion, thereby normalizing endogenous sex hormone production. It is essentially restoring the axis’s intrinsic regulatory fidelity.
