Hormone Signal Integrity refers to the qualitative measure of a hormonal message’s fidelity, encompassing its accurate synthesis, appropriate transport, precise receptor binding, and effective post-receptor signal transduction within the target cell. A high integrity signal ensures that the biological command issued by the endocrine gland is correctly received and executed by the peripheral tissue, leading to the intended physiological outcome. Compromised integrity, often due to receptor downregulation or metabolic interference, can result in symptomatic hormone deficiency even when circulating levels are adequate.
