Hormonal Stagnation

Meaning

A physiological state characterized by significantly reduced variability, profoundly dampened pulsatility, or insufficient metabolic turnover of key circulating hormones, often resulting in suboptimal biological signaling despite potentially normal or average hormone concentrations. This detrimental lack of dynamic fluctuation can severely impair target tissue responsiveness and systemic adaptive capacity. Clinically, this condition is distinct from an overt hormone deficiency but is equally detrimental to maintaining optimal metabolic and reproductive health.
