Hormonal Health Equity

Meaning

Hormonal health equity is the ethical principle and public health objective that every individual, regardless of their socioeconomic status, race, gender identity, or geographic location, should have fair and just access to the full range of diagnostic testing, evidence-based therapies, and preventative care necessary to achieve optimal endocrine function and well-being. This concept addresses systemic disparities that create preventable differences in the prevalence of hormonal disorders and the quality of care received. Achieving equity requires proactively dismantling barriers embedded in healthcare infrastructure and policy.
