Hormonal Adherence

Meaning

Hormonal Adherence is the measure of a patient’s consistency in following the prescribed regimen for hormone replacement therapy or any other endocrine-modulating treatment, including the correct dosage, frequency, and route of administration. Optimal adherence is a critical factor for achieving and maintaining therapeutic success in any hormonal protocol. Poor adherence often leads to fluctuating hormone levels, which can result in the recurrence of deficiency symptoms or the manifestation of side effects from inconsistent dosing.
