Hematopoietic Stem Cells

Meaning

Hematopoietic Stem Cells, or HSCs, are undifferentiated cells primarily found in the bone marrow, possessing the remarkable capacity for self-renewal and differentiation into all mature blood cell types. These include erythrocytes for oxygen transport, leukocytes for immune defense, and thrombocytes for coagulation, forming the complete cellular composition of blood.
