HCG Monotherapy

Meaning

HCG Monotherapy involves the clinical use of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) as the sole therapeutic agent to stimulate endogenous testosterone production in men diagnosed with secondary hypogonadism or to maintain testicular function during exogenous testosterone therapy. HCG mimics the action of Luteinizing Hormone (LH), directly stimulating the Leydig cells in the testes to synthesize and secrete testosterone. This treatment modality is often utilized when preserving fertility is a primary concern, as it supports spermatogenesis by maintaining intratesticular testosterone levels.
