HCG and Male Fertility

Meaning

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or HCG, is a glycoprotein hormone that mimics the action of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in the male body. In the context of male fertility, its primary role is to stimulate the Leydig cells within the testes to produce endogenous testosterone. This stimulation is crucial for supporting spermatogenesis, the process of sperm production, and maintaining overall testicular function.
