Hair Cycle Modulation

Meaning

Hair Cycle Modulation is the therapeutic or physiological intervention aimed at purposefully altering the natural progression and timing of the hair follicle through its three distinct phases: anagen (growth), catagen (regression), and telogen (resting). The clinical objective is typically to prolong the active anagen phase or to expedite the transition from the dormant telogen phase back to anagen, thereby increasing hair density and overall scalp coverage. This process is a key focus in treating various forms of alopecia.
