GSK-3β

Meaning

Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3 beta, or GSK-3β, is a pivotal serine/threonine protein kinase found ubiquitously in mammalian cells. This enzyme phosphorylates a wide array of target proteins, often leading to their inactivation or degradation, thereby orchestrating critical cellular processes such as glucose metabolism, cell proliferation, and programmed cell death.
