Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones

Meaning

Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones (GHRHs) are a class of endogenous peptide hormones that stimulate the pituitary gland to synthesize and secrete Growth Hormone (GH). The primary and most potent member is Somatorelin, which is produced by the hypothalamus. These hormones play a critical, pulsatile role in regulating the somatotropic axis, influencing body composition, metabolism, and overall growth and repair processes throughout the lifespan.
