Gonadorelin Testicular Function

Meaning

Gonadorelin testicular function refers to the diagnostic and physiological relationship where the hypothalamic hormone Gonadorelin (also known as Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone or GnRH) regulates the Leydig and Sertoli cell activity in the testes. GnRH pulsatile release from the hypothalamus stimulates the pituitary to secrete Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which are the direct trophic signals for testosterone production and spermatogenesis, respectively. This mechanism is central to male reproductive and endocrine health.
