Gonadorelin Signaling Preservation

Meaning

Gonadorelin Signaling Preservation refers to therapeutic strategies aimed at maintaining or restoring the physiological, pulsatile release pattern and receptor sensitivity of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), also known as Gonadorelin. GnRH is the master hormone of the reproductive axis, released from the hypothalamus to stimulate the pituitary’s secretion of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH). Preserving this natural, rhythmic signaling is critical for sustaining endogenous sex hormone production and fertility across the lifespan. Clinical interventions focus on avoiding continuous, suppressive administration of GnRH analogs which can desensitize the pituitary.
