Gonadorelin Pulsatility

Meaning

Gonadorelin Pulsatility refers to the essential, rhythmic, and intermittent secretion pattern of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus into the portal circulation of the pituitary gland. This non-continuous, pulsatile release is absolutely necessary to stimulate the pituitary to secrete Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which in turn regulate gonadal function. The frequency and amplitude of these pulses are highly sensitive to physiological status and are critical for reproductive and hormonal health.
