Gonadorelin Pituitary Stimulation

Meaning

This clinical procedure involves administering Gonadorelin, which is synthetic Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), to test or therapeutically stimulate the pituitary gland’s release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). It is a diagnostic tool to assess the functional integrity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, or a therapeutic strategy to restart or modulate endogenous sex hormone production in cases of secondary hypogonadism. This direct stimulation helps restore natural hormonal pulsatility.
