Gonadorelin for TRT

Meaning

Gonadorelin for TRT refers to the clinical use of synthetic Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), or its analog, as an adjunct or alternative therapy in men undergoing Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). Gonadorelin’s primary role is to stimulate the pituitary gland to release Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), thereby promoting endogenous testicular function. This strategy is often employed to mitigate the common side effect of TRT, which is the suppression of spermatogenesis and testicular atrophy. Using Gonadorelin helps maintain fertility potential and testicular size while testosterone levels are optimized.
