Gonadorelin for HPG Axis

Meaning

Gonadorelin, also known as Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), is a synthetic decapeptide used clinically to evaluate and, in specific protocols, stimulate the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis. Its therapeutic introduction is designed to mimic the body’s natural pulsatile release of GnRH, thereby promoting the endogenous production and release of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland. This approach aims to restore or optimize natural gonadal function, which is critical for testosterone, estrogen, and fertility management.
