GnRH Analogue Therapy

Meaning

GnRH Analogue Therapy refers to the therapeutic use of synthetic compounds that mimic or block the action of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), a pivotal neurohormone produced by the hypothalamus. These agents are designed to modulate the release of gonadotropins—Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)—from the anterior pituitary gland, thereby influencing the production of sex steroids by the gonads.
