GnRH Analogue

Meaning

A GnRH analogue is a synthetic compound resembling Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), a hypothalamic decapeptide. These agents interact with pituitary GnRH receptors, either mimicking (agonists) or blocking (antagonists) endogenous GnRH action. This modulates pituitary gonadotropin release, influencing downstream sex hormone production.
