GnRH Analog

Meaning

A GnRH Analog is a synthetic compound resembling natural Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone, a key hypothalamic peptide. These agents interact with pituitary GnRH receptors, either mimicking (agonists) or blocking (antagonists) endogenous GnRH action. This modulates LH and FSH release, controlling gonadotropin secretion and subsequent sex steroid production.
