Glycation Management

Meaning

Glycation Management is a proactive strategy aimed at controlling the non-enzymatic bonding of sugars to proteins and lipids, a process known as glycation, which forms Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs). These AGEs contribute significantly to cellular damage, tissue stiffening, and the acceleration of biological aging, particularly in the skin and vascular system. Effective management involves dietary and supplemental interventions to minimize systemic glucose exposure and inhibit AGE formation.
