GHS Regulation

Meaning

GHS Regulation refers to the clinical and physiological control mechanisms governing the secretion and action of Growth Hormone Secretagogues (GHS), which are a class of compounds that stimulate the release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. Proper regulation ensures the pulsatile, non-continuous release of GH, mimicking the natural, youthful pattern essential for anabolic processes, metabolic homeostasis, and deep sleep architecture. Dysregulation can lead to suboptimal GH signaling and subsequent somatopause-related symptoms.
