GHS Administration

Meaning

GHS Administration refers to the clinical application of Growth Hormone Secretagogues (GHS), which are a class of compounds designed to stimulate the pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. Unlike direct GH replacement, GHS work by mimicking the action of ghrelin or growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). This therapeutic approach is utilized to elevate circulating GH and subsequent Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) levels in a more physiological, natural pattern. GHS administration is a strategy for promoting anabolism, improving body composition, and supporting overall metabolic function.
