GHRP Secretagogues

Meaning

GHRP Secretagogues, or Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide Secretagogues, are a class of synthetic compounds that stimulate the pituitary gland to release endogenous Growth Hormone (GH). These agents act on specific receptors, primarily the Ghrelin/Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor (GHSR), mimicking the action of the endogenous peptide Ghrelin. They are clinically utilized to promote pulsatile GH secretion, which can support anabolic processes, tissue repair, and favorable body composition changes. These compounds are distinct from direct Growth Hormone administration as they leverage the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms.
