GHRP-2 and GHRP-6

Meaning

GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 are synthetic peptides belonging to the class of Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptides, which function as potent secretagogues to stimulate the release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. These peptides act as agonists at the ghrelin receptor, also known as the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). Clinically, they are studied for their potential to enhance pulsatile GH secretion, which may offer benefits in body composition, tissue repair, and overall metabolic health. The difference between the two lies primarily in their chemical structure and relative potency, with GHRP-2 often cited as the more potent stimulator of GH release.
