GHRP-2

Meaning

GHRP-2 is a synthetic peptide that functions as a potent secretagogue, directly stimulating the pituitary gland to release growth hormone (GH). It belongs to the class of Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides, mimicking the action of ghrelin, the endogenous ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). Its primary role is to induce a pulsatile release of growth hormone from somatotroph cells.
